APSCO delegation was invited to attend the “Belt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance (BRAIA) 2019 Council Meeting and General Assembly” in Milan, Italy during 2-5 September. BRAIA is formed by 51 universities, research institutes, academic organizations and enterprises from 14 countries mainly in the field of aerospace, where Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) serving as its Permanent Secretariat. Around 50 delegates from more than 10 countries and organizations attended the meeting. The meeting covers following topics: 1. Exam New BRAIA Member Application 2.Introduction of BRAIA Academic Committee Regulations 3.Establish BRAIA Academic Committee 4. Exam BRAIA Academic Committee Member 5.Establish BRAIA Regional Development Center
Mr. Batbayar Vandansambuu, Senior Official of Department of Program Operation and Data Service made a presentation on behalf of APSCO Secretariat to showcase achievements of APSCO cooperative activities in the last ten years and expressed that cultivation of talents is core of capacity building for APSCO Member States. The APSCO Secretariat tries to seek opportunities to cooperate with BRAIA in the talent cultivation field to make more benefits of its Member States. BRAIA has rich experience with organizing education/training programs in the topic of space technology and applications, such as space exploration, micro satellite, etc. which are aligned with APSCO interests. By utilizing the BRAIA platform and network, APSCO may provide Member States’ Universities with more practical and attractive programs.
