The 1st Expert Group Meeting on the Feasibility Study of CubeSat Competition Project was organized by APSCO Secretariat through Teleconference during 14th to 15th July, 2020. Delegates from all Member States of APSCO participated in the meeting, including Bangladesh, China, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand, and Turkey.
Dr. Li Xinjun, Secretary General of APSCO, delivered welcome speech at the beginning of the meeting. He emphasized the importance of practice training for cultivating young talent. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to the participants for their favorable supports and efforts on this program, especially during this worldwide challenging COVID-19 time.
Dr. Mohammad Ebrahimi Seyedabadi, Director General of Education and Training Department of APSCO chaired the meeting and made a presentation on APSCO Education and Training activities.
During the meeting, Mr. Shahrokh Zohrabzadeh from Iranian Space Agency presented the Feasibility Study Report of the CubeSat Competition Project.
Discussion on the Feasibility Study Report was carried out based on the recommendations and comments proposed by experts from Member States, all the comments were discussed and clarified.
As conclusion of the meeting, the project initiator was required to update the Feasibility Study Report based on the recommendations and comments of the participants during the meeting, and submit to APSCO Secretariat in due time. All Member States recommended organizing the second Expert Group Meeting on the Feasibility Study of CubeSat Competition Project in January 2021.
