The APSCO Secretariat and the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmospheric Research Commission (SUPARCO) jointly conducted the Distance Training Course on "Fixture Design and Vibration Testing Training" during September 21-24, 2020.
Mr. Aamir Saeed, owning 17 Years of working experience in field of Mechanical Engineering at various organizations in Pakistan, was appointed as lecturer by SUPARCO to give this distance training course. The training course included the following topics:
‐Fixture Design and Shock,
‐Introduction to ECSS standard,
‐Sinusoidal Vibration Testing,
‐Random Vibration Testing,
‐Introduction to Ansys,
‐Vibration Analysis Ansys,
‐Exercise on Free Vibration Analysis,
‐Exercise on Pre-Stressed Vibration Analysis,
The distance training course lasted 12 hours divided and repeated in two schedules (morning and afternoon per day in Beijing time), in order to offer a flexible and suitable arrangement for participants from all over the world. Fifty-four participants from the following countries attended the course: Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru and Turkey.
There were question and answer sessions for each topic during the classes. Participants submitted their questions, exchanging knowledge or opinions through the chat tab. The lecturer gave his answers according to the slides presented and his experience in the subject.
The Distance Training Course on "Fixture Design and Vibration Testing Training", was considered by the professor and the participants very beneficial for the academic exchange and the interaction of professionals and students from the different APSCO Member States. At the end of the distance training course, which was successfully concluded, the participants appreciated the organizers and lecturer for a very useful training course.
