The First Batch of DSSP Application Projects of APSCO Successfully Kicked-Off

The Kick-off Meeting of the First Batch of DSSP Application Projects and the Review Meeting of Feasibility Study Reports on DSSP Application Projects of Bangladesh and Mongolia was successfully held during 6th-7th April, 2021 through a teleconference. Delegates from Bangladesh, China, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand and Turkey participated in the meeting.

Ms. Yu Qi, Secretary-General of APSCO, warmly welcomed all participants and expressed her sincere thanks to all Member States for their strong support on DSSP application project. She especially expressed her appreciation and gratitude to all Project Leaders for their significant contribution to the project. 

The kick-off meeting was jointly chaired by Mr. Xu Yansong, Director General of the Program Operation and Data Service Department of APSCO and Mr. Batbayar Vandansambuu, Deputy Director General of the Program Operation and Data Service Department of APSCO. The main objective of the meeting was to finalize the implementation and management plan of six DSSP application projects and review the feasibility study reports of the application project submitted by Bangladesh and Mongolia.  

To enhance the technical knowledge of relevant manpower of APSCO Member States through researches/technology transfer by sharing the resources from DSSP efficiently, APSCO manage to implement DSSP application project in a package for all the Member States to assist each other to improve space technology based operational systems for space application.

With the strong support provided by all the Member States and the consistent endeavor made by all the Project Leads, the meeting was successfully concluded and the six DSSP application projects were officially kicked-off.
