The First Joint Working Group Meeting on Project Operation and Utilization was organized on 26-30 April 2021, via Teleconference. Experts from Bangladesh, China, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand, Turkey and the project management team from APSCO Secretariat participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Manop Aorpimai, Director-General of the Strategic Planning and Program Management Department of APSCO.
Many of the cooperative projects of APSCO have completed their implementation phase and have been transferred to the operation phase. This meeting focused on operation and utilization of two projects, namely, Asia Pacific Optical Satellite Observation System Phase I and APSCO International GNSS Monitoring and Assessment project.
During the meeting, the operation status of both projects was introduced. The future operation and utilization of the networks were fully discussed. It was agreed by all experts that operation phase of cooperative projects is very important, and all Member States should actively contribute for the utilization of the implemented networks, to bring maximum benefits to all APSCO Member States.
