The First Expert Group Meeting on the Feasibility Study for APSCO Advanced Training Course on Remote Sensing Information Processing and Urban Application project was organized by APSCO Secretariat through teleconference during 27-28 May, 2021. In total, 15 delegates from all Member States of APSCO participated in the meeting, including Bangladesh, China, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, Thailand, and Turkey.
Dr. Mohammad Ebrahimi Seyedabadi, Director General of Education and Training Department of APSCO, on behalf of the Secretary-General of APSCO, Ms. Yu Qi, welcomed all participants to the meeting and expressed his sincere appreciation for their favorable supports and efforts on this program, especially during this worldwide challenging COVID-19 time. He also delivered a presentation on the background of the meeting.
During the meeting, Dr. Meng Qingyan from Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences presented the Feasibility Study Report (FSR) of the project. Discussion on the FSR was carried out based on the recommendations and comments proposed by experts from Member States. The experts also exchanged ideas on improving the FSR.
At the end of the meeting, APSCO Secretariat appreciated all Member States for their active participation in the meeting and commended AIR, CAS for their efforts on the project.
