The First Expert Group Meeting on the Feasibility Study for the “Virtual E-Learning Platform for Remote Sensing and Space Technology (Velplat) Project” was organized by APSCO Secretariat virtually from 8-9 June, 2021. In total, 14 delegates from APSCO Member States participated in the meeting, including Bangladesh, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru, and Turkey.
Dr. Mohammad Ebrahimi Seyedabadi, Director General of Education and Training Department of APSCO, on behalf of the Secretary-General of APSCO, Ms. Yu Qi, welcomed all the delegates and expressed heartfelt thanks for their big support and input for the meeting. He also presented an introduction on background of the meeting for all participants from Member States.
MSc. Engineer Alex Delgado Pablo, Director of Space Studies (DIEST) from the Space Agency of Peru (CONIDA) delivered the Feasibility Study Report (FSR) of the project combined with video material. Besides, active discussion on the FSR was conducted based on the comments proposed by experts from Member States. Present experts expressed suggestions on enriching the FSR with clarification and updates. The project lead will update the FSR accordingly for further review and recommendation of the Member States.
APSCO Secretariat appreciated Member States for their attendance on the meeting and commended CONIDA for the great efforts on the project.
