The Secretariat of APSCO organized a training Course on "DSSP Application and Operation Guide" during 28-29 June, 2021 by teleconference.
Mr. Song Yanpeng, from China Centre for Resources Satellite Data and Application (CRESDA), was appointed as the lecturer to conduct this training course. The course aimed at enabling learners to utilize various functions of the Data Sharing Service Platform (DSSP), so that users could conveniently obtain remote sensing data from the platform. The training was divided into two parts, the lecture course and question & answer (Q&A) sessions. The lecture was focused on the following contents:
• DSSP Introduction
• User Registration
• Data Browsing
• Data Downloading
• Admin Management
• Satellite Introduction of CRESDA
During the Q&A, practical issues and ideas were actively exchanged among the participants and lecturer, focusing on the registration, website technical issues, the operation procedure, emergency cases, and the processing period of DSSP.
The training included 02 sessions of lectures and was delivered in two different time-schedules offering real-time lecture and answering feedback for around 40 participants from all APSCO Member States.
At the end of the training, participants expressed their appreciation to APSCO and CRESDA for providing them the opportunity to acquire the operational guide on DSSP with graphic illustration, which was beneficial for DSSP utilization and research.
