APSCO Student Small Satellites Ready for Launch

APSCO is ready to launch the two satellites developed under APSCO Student Small Satellite (SSS) Project, in mid of October 2021.

APSCO Student Small Satellite (SSS) Project is one of the important training program carried out under APSCO Platform. It aims to promote the capacity building on space science and technology among the faculty members and students from Member States Universities through hands-on practice. 

With the great efforts from all Member States, the project was successfully implemented and now has achieved the launch readiness stage. The ceremony for transferring the SSS-1 and SSS-2A satellites to the Launch site was conducted on 16th and 24th September 2021 at Beihang University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively. 

Currently the Microsatellite SSS-1 and CubeSat SSS-2A have already been transferred to the Launch Site, and the satellite teams are working on the testing with launch vehicle and preparation for launch. These two satellites will be launched into orbit in mid October 2021.
