
According to the Minute of The First Council Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization, the APSCO International Symposium on Space Cooperation for the Asia-Pacific Region was held in Thailand during July 20-24, 2009. The Symposium was organized by APSCO and Ministry of Information and Communication Technology of Thailand (MICT). It was also greatly supported by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of Peoples Republic of China (MIIT), United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), and the Committee on Data for Science and Technology (CODATA). The objective of the symposium is to effectively take advantage of the space resources of the member states of Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, better understanding in space technology and space application between APSCO and countries in this region, and probe into the possibility of cooperation in space field.
